Ambassador Deborah Jones on Libya Ambassador Deborah Jones talked about the growing violence in Libya, and the political transition since the fall of Moammar Gaddafi. Ambassador Jones succeeded Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was killed along with three other Americans in the September 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. She explained political challenges facing the country but stressed that Libya, not the U.S. was responsible for its future.
